It sounds like you had an acute point which was significant at the end of the six months, so I would say you were a gradual acute onset. It does sound like you may have had some kind of issue leading to ME before this though.
@Daisybell I'm getting the same thing. I think it is this tropical weather we are getting? Constantly sweating with the heat. On and on it goes, I can't remember a summer like it. Not complaining, I would rather like this than bitter cold winter.
I had an unusual feeling of weakness in my legs in my severe years. It was so unlike anything I had ever experienced that I was concerned that it was MS. It felt jelly-like.
I think it was also connected to the jelly-like feeling I had in my spine because I couldn't hold myself up in a chair...
I see in my emails today that my test kit arrived at uBiome on Friday. So, 35 days return post. I was beginning to think it might have got lost. It didn't help that I had lost the tracking number.
I noticed something last year that settled my chronic bout of stuff in the nasopharynx area and this happened after I had to go to A&E with severe headache and vomiting. I had never been that sick so quickly with headache before.
Anyway, I realized afterwards that my nasopharynx area had...
I stopped taking fish oils a couple of years ago when I got very sick. I felt at the time they were not as beneficial as I thought (for me).
I think d ribose was a problem as well even though it helped with lessening pain in the hands within a hour of taking (which was astonishing to me) and...
@perchance dreamer . Thanks.
I had lots of problems with retention in my sinuses in my severe years. I had to go on antibiotics for six months straight because my sinuses were exhausted and pretty much non functioning.
I also have to be careful how I turn my head and how I extend it. I made...
@TigerLilea You reminded me of my experience with the neti pot. I bought a neti pot in my severe years for my chronic sinusitis. I had to stop using it. I felt so much worse, increased dizziness, heavy head. It felt like the walls of my sinus held on to some of the water making me feel even...
.
I agree with this too.
For me, I always have ME symptoms but PEM flares everything up even worse and takes time and rest to ease again and that time frame can be different each time.
I wish I could have been tested in my severe years because PEM was so extreme in those years and those hits...
I thought this same thing last year when a lot of people got sick from contaminated water supply in one part of the country. How many would not recover properly and go on to get ME in the future.
@TigerLilea Same here. I couldn't see anywhere to mention that I had ME/CFS. I came across another section after that though, with heaps of questions in each category. From memory there looked to be about 10 or more categories with many questions in each. I only completed one and a half of, so...
@Allele I thought the same with the first lot of questions. I then saw there was another section after that "History questionare" or something similar.
So I clicked on that. Oh boy, there is a ton of questions to be answered there. I filled one section and started another but had to leave it...
@TigerLilea So I just pay postage at my end at the post office and post? For some reason I thought I had to pay 'ubiome' again for return. Anyway, I have emailed them again for clarity on return postage.
I have really found the site hard to follow - probably just me. They are very helpful by...
It's not in the spam folder. I have tried again to get a new password but nothing is coming to me via email and they do a pop up message that appears for a few seconds and disappears before you have time to read it all.
I think I will just have to forget about posting this off today and go...
Thanks @Inara I think what has thrown me is that I have lost the password that I used. I bet I wrote it on a piece of paper then got distracted and have lost it.
I did try their option "forgot your password"?. But something popped up so quickly I couldn't read it before it was gone.
So brain...
