Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

This is epic, well done! An empty threat designed to make us go away (but failing)?

David Tuller - Trial By Error: A Post About Andrew Lloyd

Is this a joke, your saying that being smart about how you do things is a bad idea because throwing everything at a problem without thinking it through is the best strategy. And just so we are clear choosing to use no strategy is a strategy, just not a good one. If we placed a text message at...

David Tuller: Trial By Error: My Berkeley-Backed Crowdfunding Campaign

Double standards are a common device for reality deniers. They also will use abstract or ridiculous arguments, so if you asked him i expect he would say something to the effect of he earned his position and his funding comes from a 'reputable' source.

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

If your using it against PACErs its saying they are peddling alternative facts and we want reality

This one is good too, good for dealing with psychobabblers

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

That is good but it conjures up people donating their bodies to science (maybe i'm just overtired) How about #Science4pwME

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

That is good but something that could be used for any ME/CFS post is probably more likely to catch on, #RealSCIENCEforME or #PWMEStandWithScience are great generic hashtags

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

I agree, a perfect hashtag is usually short, gets the point across and explains itself (and prompts viewers to identify with it)

David Tuller: Trial By Error: My Berkeley-Backed Crowdfunding Campaign

I doubt it has occurred because from his point of view he is right and we are wrong, so if he is right then he is the hero pushing through the hordes of misguided and deluded patients. He probably even believes that someday history will prove him right.

David Tuller lecture: CFS (aka ME) - Challenging the accepted dogma through research journalism

It seems more like automated to be listened to later (with powerpoint). Just to be clear i'm not complaining, perhaps i just like seeing as well as hearing (the difference between radio and TV).

David Tuller lecture: CFS (aka ME) - Challenging the accepted dogma through research journalism

Well done, i liked the ending where he explained that there is no other treatment option because these loons tied up money which prevented better research that might have given us better treatment by now. In fact i would recommend this speech for anyone who wants to know about the CBT/GET...

David Tuller - Trial By Error: A Post About Andrew Lloyd

Actually its an attempt to paint us as bad people so when we speak anything we say is filtered through that lens. Often the person who speaks first sets the narrative in a conversation, so the idea is if they paint us as liars or worse then anything we say is held to that standard. Its actually...

David Tuller - Trial By Error: A Post About Andrew Lloyd

I completely agree but when faced with a powerful adversary strategy becomes very important if we desire victory. The squeaky wheel does get the grease but even today instead of grease we often get thrown under the bus.

UK Lottery Fund - is S4ME eligible to apply?

Fair enough, i don't know much about these organizations but are they eligible to apply for this possible funding?

UK Lottery Fund - is S4ME eligible to apply?

What i meant are any UK based forum members interested in creating a new organization (that can apply for funds) whose goal is to advocate for science based research and treatments in the UK, who would by default speak out against PACE and psychological treatments based on actual science and...

UK Lottery Fund - is S4ME eligible to apply?

The forum does not have the be the charity, it can just have a related name and be affiliated, right? And benefiting UK residents is not hard (if pushing PACE is considered a benefit then actual science should be an easier sell), the mission statement can say the charity's goal is to ensure...

David Tuller - Trial By Error: A Post About Andrew Lloyd

Fair enough, new technology and new understanding can take years or decades to percolate and of course people and professionals like to stick with whats familiar

David Tuller - Trial By Error: A Post About Andrew Lloyd

When you don't say something your giving implicit validation, if people only see lies they start to believe them or don't look further. Its always important to challenge reality deniers publicly but its not a strategy for ultimate success, its only the most elementary first step, something not...

UK Lottery Fund - is S4ME eligible to apply?

This thread has been split from: https://s4me.info/threads/action-for-mes-administration-and-how-that-affects-its-views-about-treatment.3358/ Interesting, i wonder what are the requirements to sign up for this? Could a UK based member start the S4ME charity to lobby for patient centric...
