Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

Didn't he make some very offensive comments about the researchers criticizing PACE himself just about a page back on this thread?

13th Invest in ME Research International ME Conference - 1st June 2018

Do you have a quick link handy where I could read more? If not I'm sure I'll find it sometime ;) .

Chris Ponting's project to replicate Mark Davis’s remarkable findings of immune activation in ME/CFS (S McGrath blog)

Nice that @Action for M.E. are funding some proper research for once too, btw. Is this something that could lead to a cure though?

    First 3D printed human corneas

I do wonder when A.I. becomes so advanced that it's gonna start solving diseases before human researchers can. You'd assume that a computer doesn't have the same fallacies as men when it comes to desiring money or status and thus would just go on researching the disease instead of trying to...

Origins of an Epidemic: Purdue Pharma Knew Its Opioids Were Widely Abused - NY Times (2018)

In an ideal world governments, big pharma, scientists and doctors would all be working towards curing people. In an ideal world like that most diseases would've already been solved I reckoned. Alas we're left with people who care more about money and reputation than they do about making the...

That's without the 5.000$ matching offer right?

Article: ME patients misunderstand, Andresen, 2018

I'm actually at my happiest if I've got a challenge in front of me, being sick is making it harder to commit to anything though. Instead of stress it get's me excited though.

David Tuller's new crowdfunding campaign (April 1, 2018)

He's doing a fine job of damaging that area of research himself.

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

Think it's more poignant to focus on the faults in the pace-research though, than trying to get him to confess he fucked us over deliberately.

A couple-based psychological intervention for chronic fatigue syndrome [In progress, April 2018]

Oeh, couples therapy as to double the chance of it sticking. Now to find a partner. Any takers?

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

So patients are motivated enough to participate in the PACE-trial, but they aren't motivated enough to get more productive? Is that what Sharpe is saying?

Moving is healthy? About the harmful consequences of exertion with M.E. and the role of the physio-therapist

Seemingly supportive article on a dutch physio-site, haven't read through it all yet. Give their website some traffic if you like.

Moving is healthy? About the harmful consequences of exertion with M.E. and the role of the physio-therapist

preface Milk is good for each; Every once in a day; Bread, there's something in there; Chicken, the tastiest piece of meat; Peanut butter, who has not grown big; Exercise is healthy ... Who has become "not big" with the above slogans? In the meantime it is clear that many people walk around with...

Merryn Crofts - media and inquest

I've read somewhere that they did a big documentary some decades ago but there was a terrible backlash from the BPS-crew, and since then there hasn't been anything similar. Can't remember the name of the show it was on though. From recently I remember a piece being prepared that would be...

PACE trial TSC and TMG minutes released

Subjectively I'm the batman, objectively I'm a fat 30something-yo mostly couch-bound man that's starting to go bald. I'd still fill in batman though if ever surveyed about my health-status. My point offcourse being that if you're gonna use questionnaires to measure people's health you should...

Forward ME Group – Bodily Stress Syndrome

I can only speak for myself when I say it's just to complex for me to follow. All the more appreciation to you for being able and willing to follow up on this.

Merryn Crofts - media and inquest

Self-serving seems to be the most accurate description for me. Piggy-backing on all sorts of media-exposure for the greater good of afme instead of the greater good of patients or people involved in said exposure.
