Action for ME - " Educate ME" -Scottish Campaign

Personally I don't trust AfME an inch. They are dangerous to all patients, especially children if they really have the ex lead of AYME in charge of so called children's services. I can't believe the Scottish Parliament are taking them seriously.

A series of PACE funding FoI requests

Greetings to you from Liverpool, @AR68. I know you're here for serious reasons (hope you get some decent answers to your FOI questions  ), but it's also nice to have some fun here too. :) Gardens, birds, pets, film, or if there isn't something that appeals start off something...

(Not a recommendation) Bath University, Volunteer for research investigating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

What about ME patients who are in their 70s? The physical capacity of a 90 year old? I have to say even in her mid to late 80s my Mum couldn't half rush around, carrying a bag or not! I'll reach 70 at the end of August...

Article on MCAS in The Guardian

Not sure this is the best place for this? I leave it for the Moderators to decide and move if necessary. An article in The Guardian today from a woman with MCAS. The comments BTL (beneath the line) are worth looking at too - very sympathetic compared to ones under articles about ME...

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

No need to apologise! I'd love to tank wheelchair round our lottie site - might make the committee a bit more respectful! ;) They'd ban it immediately though. :arghh:  I've been wondering about AndyPandy's beach buggy too. If it managed pebbles it would be worth me going...

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Gor blimey lass, even worse! :jimlad: ;) Actually given the state of the roads and pavements round Liverpool you'd be taking your life in your hands without using something like a tank!

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Oh, I've always fancied one of those tank wheelchairs! Unfortunately they're not legal on UK roads.

Strewth the weasel is dwarfed by her! I know she's wearing high heels (not very sensible when you're that preggie) but even if you subtract them from her height he's teeny tiny  And the one where he's gawping at her bulge is just creepy and :eek::eek:

But according to homeopathy that wouldn't work. He should have taken 1/32 of a pill for his demonstration, or possible 1/100 or 1/1000 of a pill as that should increase the potency. ;)

Entire issue of Post Graduate Medical Journal (11/1978) devoted to ME

I agree - muscle biopsy from the little I understand is unpleasant to undergo. Maybe not as bad as bone marrow aspiration for testing (been the tech making the slides at that many years ago), but still not something you'd want to undergo!

Entire issue of Post Graduate Medical Journal (11/1978) devoted to ME

(my bold) Edwards had a particular interest in DMD. He was also the person ME patients saw in Liverpool before Dr Nye's time. He diagnosed a friend of mine (now deceased) with ME, some 20 or so years later she had a scan privately and it was discovered she actually had MS. This misdiagnosis...
