Solving the ME/CFS criteria and name conundrum: the aftermath of IOM, 2020, Jason & Johnson

Very annoyed and concerned at PEM being so blatantly misinterpreted and misappropriated. This is not good, and could well set us back a long way. (Not suggesting Jason & Johnson are doing it, but it is clearly starting to happen more generally.)

    Symptoms of Covid-19

That is why non-vaccine 'herd immunity' is so dangerous. It is not the immediate deaths that are the main problem. They are a very serious problem, but society can survive the loss of a few percent of the population. The far more widespread long-term effects & complications are where the...

The iatrogenic power of labeling MUS: A critical review and meta-analysis of “diagnosis threat” in mild head injury, 2020, Niesten et al

What secondary benefits? Is it the poverty? The lack of career, social interaction, relationships, achieving your life's goals? The truly shitty physical symptoms? The endless humiliation and degradation and terror (and that is the right word) that society seems almost eager to inflict upon us...

That is literally all there is to it. Circular definition-based reasoning. And they wonder why we get a bit peeved at them?

Resources for help getting food during quarantine and safe handling of food

Not sure why soap/detergent cannot be safely rinsed off fruit and veg. They are water soluble. It is only a question of how much rinsing is required. Though no doubt some F&V are easier to rinse than others. Apples or pumpkins should be easy enough, but Brussels sprouts might be a bit trickier...
