If magnesium levels are the answer to the problems of this condition what is proposed as the mechanism by which, after almost 30 years of healthy life, one is suddenly precipitated into illness?
If the original post represents the entirety of the information on this it is wholly inadequate. Before commenting one would need to know something of the proposed procedure. If they are going to do this they must, as a matter of routine, provide a copy of the recording to the claimant at the...
I have been doing my best informally.
One wonders how many other papers he must have reviewed for the BMJ. Do journals tend to use the same reviewers, or do they each have their favourites?
I second Andy on this. Unless they are aware of the substance of the communication in which Sharpe used the term this appears very risky. Sharpe is no fool. Unless they know what response Sharpe might have it would have been better to avoid this. Perhaps they have inside information and have...
One question which has intrigued me, and we I have got no closer to resolving concerns the National Employers Life Assurance Holdings which, according to Wiki, was the UK's largest disability insurer, and acquired by UNUM in 1990. One wonders what names might have been associated with that...
As far as we know this statement was allegedly made in private correspondence. It was the recipient who chose to make it public. But I may be wrong, and am no expert.
I think that CM's tweet may have created an unfortunate impression by juxtaposing the comment about "conduct unbecoming" and her response to it in the debate. The result gave the appearance that MS's comment was part of discussions concerning the representation of constituents.
I am sure this...
Now
It is entirely reasonable to feel that way. I am sure we all do. However it is a difficult time for assessing how to act upon the feelings. Some of the tweets directed at Sharpe look rather like bear baiting, and might reasonably be viewed unfavourably by a disinterested public.
This talk of private briefings makes one wonder in what context the term "conduct unbecoming" may have been used. Sharpe clearly feels he was quoted out of context. One can in part see reason for his concern. There seems to be more to this than meets the eye.
EDIT cross posted with the above.
It looks as though everyone is passing quickly over the declarations of voluntary and paid work for the UK government. I don't see why this should be regarded as less of a conflict of interest than work done for insurance companies.
EDIT apparently not everyone. Post crossed with that of JE.
Sharpe says that PACE was about CFS not ME. That is fair enough. It was CFS that was in the title.
It was Sharpe who wrote up the criteria for CFS. If anyone knows the intended relationship of ME to CFS, he should. Perhaps someone on Twitter could enquire of him, and ask him why this was not...
That must be what accounts for Sharpe's recent change of tone. It must have been slowly dawning upon him that he may not have heard the last of that.....
