Online: Renegade Research 'Research Roundtable', T cell dysfunction in ME/CFS seminar, May 23rd 2024

As far as i know that drug is supposed to decrease inflammation through the microbiome. On ME-pedia it says atleast 2 different clinical trials have been started but none published, I wonder if they will be published in future or it was found to be ineffective. Given there are no published...

BBC: Long Covid course [LP] is ‘exploiting people’, says ex-GB rower, 2024, article and radio program

Was a little dissapointed seeing the ME Association’s tweet on the matter. A bit too neutral for an organisation supposed to protect patients in my opinion.

Yeah I’m not saying I endorse them. Just that that might explain why this renegade research seminar includes remission biome.

Can’t remember which but I think renegade research is “run by” remission biome, or the other way around.

Osteoporosis - Is anyone taking meds?

Somewhat related question but if I’m very severe since 19 so basically not moving at all and on high dose PPI for life, I assume I’m quite at risk of developing ostheoperosis? If so, should I be taking a calcium supplement?

Open John Hopkins Long Covid Study (Survey; Open Worldwide)

Maybe try a different browser/try removing add blocker? It did take some time to load for me and seemed a bit clunky. Worked on safari mobile for me though. @Binkie4

Collection of very poorly written news articles on ME/CFS

Oh fair enough. Should I keep this thread for those that don’t fit into regional news?

Collection of very poorly written news articles on ME/CFS

I think it’s relevant to keep archiving and keep discussion/sharing news articles on ME which are very poorly written. The large majority of these don’t fit in another thread and aren’t worth making a new thread of their own.

Open John Hopkins Long Covid Study (Survey; Open Worldwide)

Yeah. I made sure to complain about the fact the survey felt like it was desgined for people who were just mildly disabled from Long Covid ie. having questions assuming I could still do some types of exertion. I also made sure to complain about the fact PEM was not included. But I think it’s...

Do more sensitive methods tend to lead to medical breakthroughs?

This really makes me think of Jarred Younger. Who said that by the end of the year with some studies he’s doing in Microgliya with very sensitive CT scan and MRI we would likely have definite proof of neuroinflammation. I guess we’ll see over the next year if that holds…

Open John Hopkins Long Covid Study (Survey; Open Worldwide)

Just completed this John Hopkins long covid study survey. I think it’s worth filling out if you can manage: https://covid-long.com/ should take 10-30 min.

Article: 'For South Asian women, it’s not just medical gaslighting that pervades their ME diagnoses', Shehla Ali

I’ll have to see how they age but I’m getting really good vibes from the chronic collaboration.

They agreed to sign! Who can I private message to send the proof? And also share some questions they asked me, looks like we might get a signature from Long Covid Europe and Long Covid Kids Switzerland too. :)

    NHS England - E-learning Modules on ME/CFS

As a very severe bedridden and mute person, this and the lack of acknowledgment of severity is suprising. Also the treatment of diet as such a major management strategy really feels like another flavour of the “make deep breathing”. Both of these things are good but they are also good for...
