CBT for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) - Psychology tools.com

I sent a quick email asking for a podcast interview about medical errors and their ethical responsibility. I cited their ME/CFS entry as a discussion starting point. I'm not holding my breath waiting for a response.

    Low-dose Naltrexone articles and experiences

Excellent, I hope your improvements continue. Fwiw, I tapered off LDN last fall because I wasn't sure if it was doing any thing. It was. My sleep worsened, and waking up nauseous was more intense. So I eased back onto LDN (4.5ml) , sleeping better (still not great) and less waking intense...

Thinking aloud: Patient safety, misdiagnosis and ME

I was at an inaugural national patient safety advocacy conference today and it got me thinking. We were deciding on our focus area. Much of patient safety work seems to focus on hospital and pharmacy settings. Among the material were definitions of some terms, including 'patient safety...

Havana Syndrome: U.S. and Canadian diplomats targeted with possible weapon causing brain injury and neurological symptoms

"...were able to diagnose it using specialized brain-activity scans. Global Affairs Canada wouldn’t let them make the trip, the diplomats say, and would not issue letters stating that they were suffering from the symptoms." Yep, that sounds like our government.

The right to record medical consultations - UK and other countries

Just as police physical assaults on the public plummeted after police officers started wearing body cams, I would suspect the verbal assaults of physicians on patients would also plummet if they knew they were being recorded.

ME/CFS International Research Symposium, March 2019, Australia

I caught Ron Davis's presentation. The one thing I jotted down was: - 1/3 to 1/4 of ME patients in their study had high mercury / low selenium (and that leads to low T3) and he suggested that if one is low in selenium that supplementing may help, but to be aware that too much selenium is bad...

Ethical classification of ME/CFS in the United Kingdom (2019) Diane O'Leary

This is 'institutionally embedded medical error' and I'd bet dollars to donuts it is implicated in a significant portion of medical harm and death. Aside - I had a chat this week with a 'patient safety institute' that seemed solely focused on patient safety in hospitals and pharmacies. When I...
