Denmark: Newspaper Politiken on PACE and the Cochrane review - David Tovey interviewed.

Haven't read the article yet, but am reminded of the answer Tovey gave to Caroline Struthers: https://healthycontrolblog.wordpress.com/

Special Report - Online activists are silencing us, scientists say Reuters March 2019

I'm disappointed with the NYT. They certainly saw how biased this piece is. At least they should have fact-checked the information given about David Tuller who also has written for the NYT: former journalist? Only has a doctoral degree but otherwise not affiliated with the UCB? That's what...

Special Report - Online activists are silencing us, scientists say Reuters March 2019

I agree with Trevor Butterworth that this isn't a good tactic. If your are not sure that a source is reliable, better don't use it. This is just the gender specific use of "ad hominem" -- it means better stick to factual arguments instead of targeting/ tracking persons. What's wrong with that...

Special Report - Online activists are silencing us, scientists say Reuters March 2019

So I succeeded in refraining myself from reading the Reuters piece. Anybody saw who the author is? Will try to not further comment the quoted bits (eta: because it would cost me too much energy to do so -- not suggesting it was generally not worthwhile to comment...) For me, it is helpful to...

David Tuller: Trial By Error: Cochrane's Report on Courtney's Complaint

Thank you, @dave30th, for bringing this report to light! I wish Cochrane added this report at a prominent place to the review. Have I understood properly that the person in charge of assessing Bob's criticism agreed with all of the key points Bob made? P.S.: Typos in the added update: "That...

Is it true that more than half of medical consultations are for MUS? A look at the evidence.

Apologies for just popping in. Only was able to skim the thread. Just wanted to say what interests me about Trish's and Keith Geraghty's questioning those MUS numbers. I think it would be an important finding if the numbers of people seeking medical care and being diagnosed with MUS were...

    Fatigue measurement scales

I think there are really not many questionnaires named after a person. I'm only aware of some named after an institution, e.g. DePaul University. :) (I am not able to explain what I'm thinking about this review ATM. Just thought it was time to release this bit from my drafts folder in case it...
