Open letter to TEDxBristol regarding Esther Crawley's presentation on 2 November 2017

My tuppenceworth Ann West1 second ago Tellingly, biomedical researchers into this condition have stated that they are not subject to harassment, and find patient support a key part of their work. There is something amiss with engagement of patient community, and the dissemination of a form of...

Tuller / Trial By Error: The Crawley Chronicles, Resumed

Think of the poor wee souls whose hormones naturally are doing a rollercoaster ride being given CBT for a growing number of conditions - if a perfectly healthy teenager cannot account for mood swings and emotions, identifying "triggers" may be an impossible task , leading them to self analyse...

It would have to be well worded so as not to constitute " vexatiousness" . Apologies if i have just made up a word

It' s my understanding that TEDx is a franchise - perhaps the franchisor organisation should also be sent a copy?

Measuring School Functioning in Students With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Systematic Review, 2017, Tollit et al

We have added issues of having to have a Scottish teaching certificate to teach here. Online companies not interested in added costs for small market. Our school is interested but hemmed in by " procedure", which means nothing happening fast. Tymes Trust and Nissai chipping away, but nothing...

Measuring School Functioning in Students With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Systematic Review, 2017, Tollit et al

To me it beggars belief that in 21st century there is no joined up online educational provision for kids with chronic illnesses. Not even a national online resource ( like moodle in further education) . Current systems do not allow kids to reach their potential - a sad waste

HPV vaccination and risk of ME/CFS

I think it is a bit of everything now as it is within NHS referral service- it used to be homeopathic (dilutions). It now also offers mindfulness (as in buddhist version) and " couselling", as well as acupuncture etc...

HPV vaccination and risk of ME/CFS

Interestingly i spoke with a mum whose daughter has ME following Gardisil injection today. She has a referral to the homeopathic hospital as they provide pills to deal with lack of menstruation - seemingly sorts out hormonal issues these girls have. She will give me more details after her...

Yes, there is a lot of truth in @Alvin and @JonathanEdwards' view - this will enable bigpharma to continue to outsource risk and produce " soundbite" medicine. But as i understand it ( and i could be wrong), there is also an interest in being able to deliver the right drug at the right time...

Not nonsense. My daughter is currently doing a masters in " stratified medicine", having done a degree in chemistry. This course has been running for a few years and is funded by Scottish government - illness/ genetics/ business/personalised care. In Scotland there are a huge amount of chronic...

Aluminium in brain tissue in autism (2017) Molda et al.

Our family carry the heamachromatosis gene- my aunt has it. There are some papers which have found links not only to iron but also to lead for those with this gene. Tends to happen later in life, but my aunt does not have heamochromatosis - gene is not activated - but does have lead accumulation

Sulfation affects metal processing - if you have a problems with sulfite/ sulfate then , depending on enzymes/ genes and pathways affected metal accumulation can happen. It may be dose dependent -add in a few additional environmental inputs and systems can' t cope .
