    > whether ME fatigue was more like having stayed up all night or maybe more to me m.e. fatigue is more like trying to swim from california to sakhalin then to hawaii then back. "it takes a lot out of me." with no sleep. and yakuza following. and accountants with incomprehensible tax forms...

Comparative Analysis of Extracellular Vesicles in Patients with Severe and Mild MECFS, Bonilla et al, 2022

i think it is a gret idea to compare severities. i wonder if ev action could be studied in vitro? > though these changes were not significant after correction for multiple comparisons what makes this significant? i assumed xkcd jelly bean comic would apply here. i.e. not significant.

Closed 2022 UK Recruiting: narrative inquiry exploring the school experiences of teenagers with ME/CFS (doctoral research)

one more thing although i think we are really giving you an earful. [that is becase we are interested in your research.] something occurred to me that would be perhaps tangential to your work but pointing it out so that you know about it. for these disease populations, i believe it useful or...

Closed 2022 UK Recruiting: narrative inquiry exploring the school experiences of teenagers with ME/CFS (doctoral research)

    > One thing that concerns me is that young people are still developing their understanding of their symptoms, thoughts and feelings, and may not have the vocabulary to describe these other than that fed to them by their doctors and therapists. They won't necessarily have had time to step aside...

Closed 2022 UK Recruiting: narrative inquiry exploring the school experiences of teenagers with ME/CFS (doctoral research)

hi thank you for joining and i hope we can learn from one another. i cannot read your picture because it is too bright. i don't know what a professional doctorate is. does it mean on a counseling side of ed psych as opposed to experimental ed psych [total guess]? is ed psych a part of policy...

Evaluating case diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS: toward an empirical case definition, 2022, Conroy, Jason et al

    > In essence, we described PEM as being caused by physical, cognitive or emotional exertion, and being disproportionate, often delayed and with prolonged recovery times. thanks that's clear but after all this time i do not feel i understand pem. to me, it seems any insult to the body...

Evaluating case diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS: toward an empirical case definition, 2022, Conroy, Jason et al

i don't understand the first paragraph [cognitive issues] but the sleeping for 2 weeks thing popped out at me. i never connected this with m.e. or pem but fwiw: As a teenager, for two weeks, I had to sleep 23 hours per day, with no oher correlated symptoms. Could not stay awake. I was fully...

The order of magnitude is off — ME/CFS is a human rights issue

    > But I don't think we have even our supporters on board. most things i mentioned can be done with a letter or started with a letter. i think some will hop on board when fashionable/safe. some when they are inspired by results. thank you very much to all for reading and for comments. want...

Is there any research into vaccinations being a trigger for ME/CFS?

    > In the context of research there would have to be a definition of what is meant by "trigger". The common meaning is something which has causal impact, rather than simply meaning x preceding y. Defining trigger in ME/CFS is challenging because we don't know what any of the underlying mechanisms...

Evaluating case diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS: toward an empirical case definition, 2022, Conroy, Jason et al

a few things seem to cause issues for us. - variety of experience of those who have m.e. [cover some, lose others] - range of severity [if yu do cpet on some then you kill them] - what pem means - whether pem is necessary, sufficient, both, or neither - words seeming like ordinary healthy...

Should PwME be medically treated as 'high-risk' Covid patients?

    > Should PwME be on the list for this stuff? Are we, and I just don't know it? idk if you are referring to a single list, but i'd say for pwme and similar: - paxlovid and studies on it for pwme shold be done - similar treatments and studies for pwme shold be done - vaccine efficacy and...

Is there any research into vaccinations being a trigger for ME/CFS?

the article seems slightly different now [i only skimmed but e.g. no section headers]. in any case here is my slight reworking of the dilemma spoken of in the quote [forgive any slight inexactness]: 1. horn 1: study the problem and try to find out something useful. thie also presents...

A Picture of_ME: media images of ME

i have partiqally written analyses and scrapped them because i could not finish them. or find them. even within the mandate of "improve on existing" there are a lot of questions and a lot of possible objectives. i think we are risking working at cross purposes, and might even be at risk of...

the point of abx was to put off extraction or repair until end of delta but omicron arrived without delta going down. my doctor said to get v would be tempting fate. thus he prescribed abx. his emails are kind of a different person from himself. maybe he forgets my case or has to say things...
