I get it immediately too. In my severe years I got a headache immediately along with the difficulty to think. Couldn't bear anyone to talk to me, not able to answer questions in any detail except for yes, no. I would also get the delayed PEM after this.

Same here through my mild years. It wasn't until severe ME onset and PEM so severe that I finally was able to work out that it was ME and that took another 10 months after severe onset. I had been trying to carry on as normal through my mild years but getting sicker and sicker.

I didn't think the area for the throat swab was a good one but what do I know. ;) When I was taking the swab it felt like I wasn't getting much of anything. To me it was more the back wall of the mouth not the throat. I'm sure they called it the throat swab.

Same here. Everything changed for me when I got an infection that changed my microbiome. I think this is where it all started for me as well. My microbiome changes were significant but no one knew much about all this back then. I noticed years later that 'psychological ?' had been written down...

@EzzieD I missed reading an email from Ubiome and got the same message you did for my throat swab. They are testing it again, so could be a long wait again. Next time I will go for the 5 microbiome if it comes up again at reduced price.

@TigerLilea I think for some of us we have microbiome changes that possibly lead us on to ME. (?) I think I have other areas of microbiome that won't be great. I would have liked to have done the 5 microbiome combo when they reduced the price earlier this year but didn't have enough spare money...

Thanks @Inara I saw Streptococcus but not Staphylococcus in the my nose sample. The Streptococcus wasn't high though. My sinuses were bad at the time I took the swabs so I need to go through everything they found and see if I can understand anything that may be going on.

I received the nose swab result only today. Throat swab is still being processed. I couldn't see the breakdown of bacteria, so will have to go back in and find. Nose swab. 8.49 out of 10 for microbiome diversity. 96th percentile. Sounds like I have lots of bacteria? Is that good or maybe...

@Cinders66 I did have two jobs (full-time + part-time) off and on over the years before ME hit. I found I could only do it for awhile. I would get lots of colds close together and that was always a sign to me I was getting run down and had to give the second job away.

I liked your post in agreement about the high property and rental prices but hope of course no one dies from what sounds like a terrible flu. Property and rental are high where I am too. I had to move to a smaller place last year, very concerning.
