I' ve only read the executive summary which seems to confirm lived experience throughout UK. Important for all our charities to be fully aware of the actuality of life, and the particular vulnerabilities of children and families. @Russell Fleming @Action for M.E.

How does emotional stress lead to inflammation?

Flow diagrams - pre ME and scientific paper referencing - screenshots as pdf too large I was trying to understand the symptoms as they manifest themselves. I know they are pretty basic - helped me at the time> I find graphics easier to get my head around

How does emotional stress lead to inflammation?

I think there are many roads into this illness, which is part of the reason it is so hard to crack. My daughter's base cortisol is low, so perhaps a subset.

How does emotional stress lead to inflammation?

Dr Bansal was researching glucocorticoid receptor resistance which suggested cortisol resistance. Research has not been published, so i don' t know if it is a null finding @alex3619 was interested in it. Dr Bansal retires from NHS this year. It was explained in the LIME conference in Sweden...

Ron Davis's trypanosome 'signature' finding (IIMER conference 2018)

Is this parasite also indigenous to India. My aunt' s ME came on after a " holiday of a lifetime" ? Doctors never took suggestion of foreign parasitic infection seriously, and she is mow too ill to get out of bed for any specialist testing .

IAPT under the microscope, 2018, Marks

Probably the type where either you don' t go back because it does nothing for you and the assumption is that you have "recovered". Your perception of symptoms has changed - particularly beloved of pain management- to enable you to fill out a questionnaire and magically be " recovered" ....

Gluten-free need not taken seriously by radio prog

Dr Google has a lot to answer for. Our previous office secretary felt tired and had stomach issues : she went through a number of internet based self diagnoses, leading to doctor's visits for a variety of things ( hypothyroidism, CFS, coeliac ....) Her husband has cancer, her job was...

Welcome @mariovitali . I was interested in this on PR as it does seem to account for issues my daughter has. However getting anyone medical to take things seriously is another matter.

    Action for ME GP webinars

The question is, how will this prevarication look when litigation hits the courts. Following the parliamentary debate, it is clear that this is envisaged ( there may be some seriously considering, or actioning this) Myhill' s GMC complaints initiative may bring this to a very ugly head ( for...

I suspect the comment is based on this, but, as always, there is no reference, just a generalisation.

    The Oncogenic Paradox

I watched a couple of YouTube videos when my cousin had cancer . One by Paul Davies, a physicist, was different in approach. I don' t know if what he proposed has since been debunked, or if indeed he has " cherrypicked" aspects of the disease to suit his theory. Article from Nature re " cells...

Became Sick From Detox-I think..Please Help Me Assess.

So sorry to hear you are struggling @LucyLouWho . I don' t have much scientific knowledge, but wanted you to know i am thinking if you. My aunt cannot do B vits. B12 had horrendous side effects- her 23andme results indicate a folate problem which may explain this - perhaps, like @Ryan31337 this...

Reduced glycolytic reserve in isolated natural killer cells from ME/CFS patients: A preliminary investigation, Nguyen et al, 2018

I think there is a definite intersection. They too found an uncoupling of supply and demand; more interestingly, for some they found that ATP was being flung out of the mitochondria faster than it could be replenished ( ostensibly due to substrate issues)- this could be ATP as puringenic...
