Jennifer Brea interviewed on Dr Oz Show December 18, 2017

I normally can't stand Dr Oz and would never watch, but I thought this piece was amazingly off-script from the usual regurgitated bs we've historically endured from tv. I maybe missed a segment in the clip I viewed, bc i didn't catch that he said it was treatable? The 4-question survey was a...

The Times: Nobel scientist’s researcher finds humiliating error

Pretty much exactly what I was trying to say, @Esther12 Defo not advocating no-blame culture. Taking responsibility is a must, but sadly a disappearing trait in modern times

The Times: Nobel scientist’s researcher finds humiliating error

Why do we as a culture agree to perceive mistakes/errors as humiliating? If we would collectively stop doing this, innovation could be freed up from fear of mistakes, as well as an end to the lengths people are currently going to cover up their mistakes.

Blog: Clark Ellis, "Which heart rate monitor for ME/CFS?"

It's from the light I believe, as the sensation is different than from pressure. It started out not bothering me at all, then over time it would feel worse for longer, until I could no longer wear it. I tried moving it up or down my wrist a bit but that didn't help. Am just realising that this...

Blog: Clark Ellis, "Which heart rate monitor for ME/CFS?"

Great writeup @Clark Ellis, thank you! I may have said it already in the thread you mentioned, but I had to stop using my Mio Fuse bc over time the green lights caused increasing pain in my arm tissues. Not a contact allergy like from nickel but lasting pain in the arm even after I take it off...

How do we get the Pineapple Fund's attention? Or is it just a matter of OMF applying?

CDC gets list of forbidden words

Rather than discuss the merits of the individual prohibited words, can we take a moment to notice that we now live in a global culture where an extremist US government clique can BAN WORDS from a public health agency, or I guess eventually anyone else? Where does this lead to, or end? How is...

    Spoon theory

I haven't found that anyone w/out the illness relates to the spoon thing. I don't much like it myself, and I feel it alienates or confuses more than it helps healthy people understand, so I don't use it. Batteries, fuel for the car--those are more relatable, but what works best in my experience...

Letter to Prof. Hugh Brady, VC Bristol University, Nov 2016

@Trish, I'd resend without asking why you've not had a response. Instead I would do as @Binkie4 suggested and include updated science as your incentive to resend.

Tuller / Trial By Error: The Crawley Chronicles, Resumed

Holy cow, @Peter Trewhitt 's comment over there eviscerates the logic-loop that the trial is. Totally brilliant.

Tuller / Trial By Error: The Crawley Chronicles, Resumed

It's not like she's operating in a vacuum. Where is the oversight when designing and funding a study like this? More people are complicit in this fiasco.
