Cochrane ME/CFS GET review temporarily withdrawn

Apart from the above, this also rang my alarm bell: I can't pretend I know exactly what it means, but I know it makes me feel uneasy.

SMILE trial data to be released

I just couldn't bring myself to follow Alistair Gibson (advanced)'s example. Sorry, just don't have the confidence to claim that level of wonderfulness. It's not a qualification I'd heard of before, so it must be very exclusive.

Royal College of Physicians article: "Do you really believe in ME?" by Dr Nina Muirhead

There isn't any credible evidence that ME is not a physical illness. What are you talking about, and why would you choose to make such a post?

Petition, change.org: Define "Melvin Ramsay's Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)" as own distinct disease from CFS

In the ME world bickering about labels has always turned divisive and acrimonious very quickly, which is something we could really do without.

"Answer to IBS is in the mind" - media coverage of new Chalder/Moss-Morris trial

If any of you squashed fly junkies fancy going the whole hog: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eccles_cake Wow, if they get the order wrong, you'd get to utter the line: "Waiter, there isn't a fly in my soup". At which point Alexei Sayle would probaby burst into the room.

Podcast: "It's Not All About ME"

I have finally had a chance to listen to this, fabulous stuff. The Gospel according to John should be preached everywhere. Took me back to my student days in the 1980s too. Rugby players could out-debauch anyone.

Does anyone here get worse in relation to stress?

I get better when I'm stressed. I'm at my best when I'm totally pissed off and fucking furious. ME symptoms just evaporate. Not even sure I get much of a payback for it. All I need is a constant supply of people or situations which annoy me. Fortunately there's no sign of that running out any...

Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity: Illness Experiences) Cuesta et al.

Sorry, but there are a few words there, in particular "hermeneutic", which set my alarm bells ringing: https://www.s4me.info/threads/wish-me-luck-everybody.341/page-2#post-5567

Oh good, so they can make up what they want then. I hope they made up something nice.

Is it true that more than half of medical consultations are for MUS? A look at the evidence.

Oh good, another word to keep on top of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychophysiology Yup, guilty.

Sunday Times readers comments: "The ‘invisible illness’: what it feels like to live with chronic fatigue syndrome or ME"

Damn! I was looking for a good pun on Liddle and couldn't come up with one.

Independent (Ireland), 'It felt like I had a bad virus and a hangover', March 2019, LP in the news again

I think you've answered your own question: It's advertising dressed up as a news story. Sales blurb. First thing I do with these articles is look for what they're selling, and there's always something there - someone setting themselves up as a therapist, life coach, burlesque dancer etc etc...
