    Media items about obesity

It’s no myth. I live in the USA, and not even in the south. Portion sizes are such that a restaurant meal was really two meals even when I was a normal-ish health. Now, one full restaurant meal is enough calories for about two days and I’m not speaking of the brands known for huge portions...

    Media items about obesity

I got about halfway through the Huffington Post article. It reads like… the Huffington Post. Not Nature or Science. Calorie restriction studies have been done, although today’s ethical rules make some of them impossible. All show that when calories are restricted to significantly under the...

Mine was Pfizer. So it appears that among us folks, side effects are not only with the mRNA vaccines

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

So that’s two or three of us. Where can I/we report this to? I don’t think we can use the regular vaccine event database, because that’s only for FDA approved stuff. We got the jobs under an EUA, Not a standard approval.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

So I’m wondering what went wrong in my case. Eight weeks past the second shot and I’m not only not back to prior, I’ve been going downhill instead of up. Perhaps it knocked me off of a metaphorical health tight rope which I could not see but was in fact suspended on.

Cambridgeshire Live article: Cambridge Dad living with ME becomes so exhausted he can't walk downstairs

But it’s accurate. “Can’t walk downstairs” is the crash state I strive to avoid but know is waiting for me should I cross an invisible threshold, whether voluntarily or buy some basic requirement of life. His comments about standing and showering mirror my experiences perfectly. This guy has a...

UK: Observer/Guardian article: "GPs stricken by long Covid ‘shocked and betrayed’ at being forced from jobs"

Well, if they were regular NHS employees they might be sent to consult with a Dr. Wessely, who would assure them that their extended disability is an unfortunate consequence of their malingering maladaptive thoughts.

New Video: Long Covid, Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome and ME/CFS

@Adam pwme If the long-term effect cohort is really one out of every seven who is infected, or even one out of every seven who showed significant symptoms, there should be millions upon millions of newly debilitated people. Due to the large number of cases which were mild and did not seek...

Good nutrition when energy is very low

Yes, and the same person can have different digestive abilities at different times. I know that when I get worse I start losing their ability to digest normal food. When that happens I’m too weak to go shopping and typically can’t think clearly enough to figure out that I should get some soup...

Advice on mask-wearing to protect against Covid-19

Masks look like they should work, but that’s not the same thing is actually working. Where I live there was a mask mandate both indoors and outdoors and pretty high compliance. It was still one of the worst spots in the USA for infections. It seems like a good deal of virus output is in the...

Good nutrition when energy is very low

Ensure is sugary glop. That would be a way to insure sickness not health ;-). A case of canned chicken and some dried spices to throw on it is a much better bet. Have some frozen vegetables around in addition, Unless you are actually a cat and can subsist on only the chicken. That won’t be...

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

I don’t like to descend into cynicism, but at this point I will assume that medicine will strive mightily to avoid learning anything about our disease.

Here’s What Happened When I Told Congress The Black And Ugly Truth About Long COVID

A Virus could not possibly care less about the melanin level in one’s skin. While some are perseverating on the irrelevant, the virus is adapting to find faster ways to replicate and enter human cells.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

“In my area we are still hitting new records of the highest number of new cases in a day/week since the beginning of the pandemic.” Where's that? I thought cases in the UK we’re dropping like a stone. Getting one dose of the vaccine sounds like Facebook Wisdom. It combines the potential of a...

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

Yes, it’s more like brain halt, or cognitive coma. But those are too disturbing to contemplate, so I stick to brain fog which sounds as if it just may clear without a trace left.

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

I am not a doctor, nor do I have any super secret knowledge. However I’ve always understood that one is prohibited from getting any vaccine while having any active infection. If you have ME/CFS, you need be 10 times more cautious than the average person.

ME Association Statement on Exercise in ME/CFS and Long Covid, April 2021

How would a person contact them and ask them to do so? Is this UK or USA? I’m in the USA, so it would or at least might be meddling if I were to write to UK organization. On the other hand it seems that whoever wrote this has never had this disease and is short of a clue.
