Hi all sorry for flippancy I think this was a great piece of work you’ve collaborated on. But when I saw the title of the post listed just now I couldn’t help thinking
Problems with the Chalder fatigue questionnaire- DUH it’s CHALDER.......
Interesting thread I’ve not had any issues with oxygen picked up on blood tests or with finger meter by gp. I’m interested in red blood cells tho the only thing on the standard nhs blood tests that I have that comes up as outside normal values is red blood cell mean cell volume which is slightly...
Brilliant to drop down so many sizes. It’s a pity about the energy levels not improving but when we get those questions now we can all say that we’ve spoken to other people with ME who’ve lost a good amount of weight but no difference in energy.
Spot on @Barry as I was reading through I was thinking just what I would have done at work when going into a meeting with senior managers what are the 3 key points to get over - spend all available time pressing those points to make them hit home.
I’m a big fan of lower carb. I’ve lost 16kg = 35lbs since changing my diet last May. I also do 16:8 eating pattern to get some of the benefits of fasting. I have reduced the amount I eat and cut out sugar and fruit juice. I have no idea how many calories I have or grammes of carb/fat/protein. I...
I keep a diary so I can space out appointments/activity over a week allowing some days in between activities. I break chores down into chunks with resting in between but I dont get any value out of trying to plan exactly what to do when in a day at least that way quiet days aren’t all the same...

But they’re not calling the clinics MUS - it is Persistent Physical Symptoms and it only mentioned MUS in the blurb on the website. So they are dodging round the PR issue
Mm well I thought the NHS wouldn’t be naive using MUS as a term with patients. Maybe they’re not actually labelling individual patients as MUS to their faces. On the other hand I think some people can just be so uncritical that they wouldn’t take offence. After all if that’s where your GP...
Hi @Squeezy only just spotted your thread. Insomnia is my biggest issue after having no energy. I’m mild/moderate level ME tending more to moderate recently. Although I can get out of the house to do stuff I can relate to a lot of what you’re experiencing. Sorry things are tough I hope you...
I don’t believe the NHS would be so naive as to have clinics called Medically Unexplained Symptoms clinic. The MUS people have already done reaseach on what to call it bodily distress disorder, persistent physical symptoms etc they will find some meaningless but inoffensive name. I believe...
