Only 2 tests 7 years apart 10 and 14.6 mg/l. Notably I’m seriously overweight so that’s likely to be contributing

The UK Covid Inquiry - 2023 onward

Wow he really had nothing there, should have had a line to take in his briefing. Rambling waffle off the top of his head. No wonder we’re in such a mess.

Poll: To what extent are you (PwME) still shielding from Covid?

I don’t think it’s me that’s going to be infecting other people. Unlike other people I know I’ve only had Covid once and that’s because I spend 90 plus percent of my time without the presence of others.

Poll: To what extent are you (PwME) still shielding from Covid?

I distance from my cleaners by going into the spare room I only wore a mask in the last few months at the Drs surgery when I had the jabs I got out of the habit of masking on the occasional visit to the little coop shop near me but I will do over the winter I think as the aisles are narrow...

Also as obesity is a factor in higher CRP then presumably as the population gets more obese higher CRP results are more likely. mine in last annual blood test was 10 never been higher, not highlighted on the results as abnormal because the range is up to and including 10, as an overweight...

Alcohol Intolerance poll. Please do the poll even if your answer is no.

Had one glass of fizz 1/2 glass white wine yesterday plus sugary pudding. I was tipsy after 1/2 glass of fizz hence the subsequent glass. Obviously I was sitting at restaurant table for 3 hours as well, but then I’m always sitting up when drink anything so the alcohol is only ever going to be...

Is “inability to recover and improve from exercise” a core component of ME/CFS? How common is it?

I don’t exercise. I walk and lift stuff as needed in my house and garden, sometimes outside - it is all in order to carry out activities of daily living, socialising with friends and relatives. I’m not sure if that’s included.

From someone who only ever gets this mildly (as part of PEM) no

Poll: In pwME that report worsened sleep following exertion/excessive activity (or during PEM) what happens to your sleep during an acute infection?

Maybe advisable to add a link or copy to Canadian Consensus Criteria as that’s part of your options. I think I meet them but with the different criteria it’s difficult to remember what is in what.
