just realised its not recorded on this thread that when they hit 25% they advertised for someone for a 3 month assignment. hopefully the assignment will be extended as more money is raised https://www.meaction.net/uk-outreach-advocacy-coordinator/
Hopefully someone will apply for the post! We don't seem to be an attractive bunch. Did the UK biobank manage to recruit a nurse does anyone know?
Merged thread For a bit of Friday positivity. The numbers for this fundraiser are rising, nearing £20,000 now. https://www.meaction.net/grow-our-uk-team/ I think it was said they’d start looking into hiring at the halfway mark?
https://edinburghkiltwalk2018.everydayhero.com/uk/CairnforMEAction All funds raised through the kiltwalk will be matched 140%, so could be a good way to make the most of your donation
I think it was announced in June that they’d changed their mind and were going ahead on recruiting starting with a 3 month contract. Which could be extended depending on funds being raised.
It was more rhetorical ie we need #MEAction in the uk or there is no action IMO, which I find very frustrating
Ahhh I get you! The question mark had me all confused thanks for clarifying. I do think and hope that #MEAction UK can support a greater array of grassroots campaigning and enable more involvement from the housebound through accessible online activism.
