Fibromyalgia

I just want to get thoughts and questions out before I forget the thinking about them.

Do we know how to dissect fibromyalgia pain from ME/CFS pain?

Have any of the gene studies shown brain connection between ME/CFS and fibromyalgia?

Could you call Steven Johnson Syndrome where you were left with permanent local pain in what feels like muscle/ligament/maybe nerve, fibromyalgia? I still need to look deeply into this syndrome and will try to concentrate as much time as I can to it soon.

I really need to get some rest after not sleeping much last night. Thanks for any comment.

Purely FM pain (that is patients without osteo or rheumatoid arthritis or other non-FM condition) is sensed as coming from muscles. So, no perception of joint pain.

FM pain is felt as stiffness, aching, or intensely acute and usually originating in more than one region of the body. Typical pain generating sites (daily pain, present most of the day) are neck, trapezius, shoulders--the upper back. Followed by the rest of the back, arms, legs, always in the muscles.

Sometimes shooting pains and muscle spasms somewhat resistant to muscle relaxants.

In other words, any region of the body where the muscles are used in normal daily activities. This dumping of pain signals into the spinal cord and brain leads to a crushing fatigue and mental stress response.

I am not entirely sure that this applies to ALL FM sufferers because of sub-types, but I am 85% confident that the above is true enough. (I've had FM for 30 yrs. and researched it.)

The only site in my body not generating pain is my abdominal muscles.
