Lentiviral In Vivo CD19 CAR T-Cell Therapy in Neurologic Autoimmune Disorders 2026 Cheng et al

“B-cell depletion, rebooting the immune system, is emerging as potentially curative for some refractory autoimmune diseases.
But that has mainly relied on complicated, time-consuming, laborious ex vivo (outside the body) methods.
Today @NEJM all 16 patients with refractory autoimmune neurologic conditions, including 7 with progressive multiple sclerosis, had clinical and biologic improvement with single dose in vivo (inside the body, off-the shelf lentivirus vector) B cell depletion.”

Hard to see the clinical outcome measures.
