What a completely stagnant field looks like. Most of it looks horrible, Goop convention level. Anyone waking up from a coma in the 1970s who was familiar with the topic would find nothing they didn't already know here, just the same old stuff talked about with slightly different words. Hell, aside from language and changes in culture, the same could be said of the 1870s.

Maybe there are people who sincerely want to achieve something here, but this is a completely dysfunctional way of doing anything. Without technology, medicine locks itself in place and is incapable of changing for the better. For the worse, though, top talent. Which makes the popular sentiment about making health care more psychobehavioral horrifying, there is absolutely zero meaningful professional-grade knowledge in there and no one can fill this gap.
