Signed but signatures still low at about 4346 . What is the reason it is attracting so few signatures?
We're still not very organized. It will take time to get people to bother, that it's worth it. Adding to the even more who don't even know what disease they have and are barely surviving. Especially as the usual means for petitions like this is Facebook and there is too much stigma to dare sharing something critically important that will be ignored with eye rolls. Our "very powerful lobby" is... uh... not powerful at all.
I would add to @rvallee’s reasons advocacy fatigue. Many people who have been ill for a long time have signed a lot of petitions to no avail. The encouraging thing about this petition is that it’s just the first step in what is expected to be a long campaign. I am hoping that enthusiasm will grow.
