Received an email with this information. Last week was a big moment for raising awareness of ME in the UK with the premiere of Unrest! Part of the film's launch included a preview of Unrest and discussion for MPs & members of the House of Lords in the Speaker’s State Rooms. (See photos here.) The ME Association and the Unrest team invited all MPs to the event. We were thrilled that over 40 turned up on the day. However, there are still clearly a lot we need to get to! One of the best ways to get them to watch the film is if they get a personal request from their constituency! Please email and/or call your MP today, asking them if they would like a screener link of the film. You can find a sample note below. You can find your member here. Thanks so much for your help to educate and motivate more MPs to take action on ME! Onward, The #MEAction Team ETA: Amended how Youtube URLs are presented in the sample letter.
In this context a screener means an advance copy of a film, I believe. Presumably a screener link is access to an online version of the film. Although the letter confuses that point, it says they then need to email to receive a copy, which suggests a physical copy, so that's not clear, in my opinion. Use of jargon and a confused process, not the best communication it could be.
A screener link in this case is an email with access info to an online copy of the film. They email you the link and a unique code so you can watch it, probably just the once.
