Needing to lie flat

Lying on my right side is worse than lying on my left side when my OI is really bad. My HR is almost always at least 5-10 bpm higher when lying in the right side, and my Garmin watch’s stress level freaks out for some reason.
For what it’s worth, this reddit post reminded me of this discussion.

Laying on the side vs on the back

I am currently in a severe crash and am struggling the right position to relax and keep heart beat low.

If I lay on the back, I feel like all my muscles are relaxed and my mind shuts down more easily and the time goes by much faster. Sadly, in this position I noticed that my heart beat is pretty high compared to when I lay on the side. Also I get heat flashes more often while I lay on my back. It feels like my body is afraid of letting go and I just don’t feel safe and cozy. I also feel a huge tension / uncomfortable feeling my chest.

When I lay on the side, I feel very cozy and safe, my heart beat goes much more lower. But I am unable to get in a state of deep meditation because I have to rearrange my body more often. Also, it feels like that muscle are in constant tension when I lay on the side.

Do you guys experienced something similar? Would you either lay on the side or on the back?
