PINEAPPLE FUND INCREASES DONATION TO OMF to $5 MILLION

Tannenbaum, OMF CEO/President, believes the additional donation was made in response to the overwhelming gratitude expressed by the patient community on Reddit and other social media.
Well I guess social media is good for something. :balloons:

It’s so cool to see the OMF logo on the Pineapple Fund site, under the list of charities supported!
And even better to see that "5 million" beneath it! :D

thanks Joh & @Binkie4

ETA The pineapple fund website says you can "email contact at this domain" but gives no actual address ??? i dont know what that means am i being dense?

Use the pineapplefund domain, which is pineapplefund.org, then add contact (at) in front of it.

It is written like that because bots crawl the internet looking for email addresses to spam. If it was written properly poor Pine would get deluged with adverts for fake Raybans.

Thanks @Cheesus
So i in the 'to' box on my email I just put atthedomainname.org i dont have a to put anything before the at symbol then? Sorry to derail the thread, but i think it'd be good to keep saying thank you - you never know when they might want to give some more away in the future :)

I Assume you should add "contact"

But I haven't read the website, Just going by the posts here.

Either way, if the email address doesn't exist you will get an error email back.

oh, duh, i was being dense:rolleyes: - when it said "You can email contact at this domain" on the site i interpreted that to simply mean that emailing them at their domain was possible, not that the last 4 words were the email address. Now i understand LOL :D

Apologies for thread tangenting.

Ron Davis’s leadership is so good, not only his skills at designing good tools and studies—I am very appreciative. He knows where he is going, the next steps that will be needed, and has the project designs lined up or working at least on small scales already. My impression is that he and his team have been doing the work and lining it up, so that they are ready for the infusion of money. This big donation is not going to land on the unprepared, but on a plane ready to fly...Not sure exactly where it will land, but it will be some place great.

Pineapple Fund has created an official Twitter account yesterday. If you're on Twitter, it's now possible to say thank you directly.

At least I hope it's the official account. Not sure if it's a fake (typos, promises of more donations to the same organizations etc.). Does anyone know if the account is valid?

Bitcoin is plummeting in value, another week or so and who knows what value bitcoin might have.

Maybe pineapple fund realise they need to offload now, before it's too late.

This would appear to be a fake account, take a look at this link: https://pineapplefund.org/verification.txt

There are rumours of yet another donation from Pineapple Fund to OMF of 1 mill dollars on top of the 5 millions.
Waiting eagerly to see a confirmation on this.

ETA: Can't make any sense of this, but perhaps others can?

ETA it is linked to the official website
You can link to any site on Twitter.

The account is not validated (normally official accounts and accounts from famous people are validated by Twitter and you see a little symbol next to their names). Of course the reason could also be that the account is so new but it seems odd.
