Airborne and aerosol aren't jargon, FFS. This is just insulting. They lied. They kept lying. They waited until everyone moved on to admit it without consequences, knowing that plenty of people would write articles like this helping the cover up. They're still lying. So are a lot of people who pretend like there was a legitimate issue here.

And of all things, to say that they "clung too tightly to precision and semantics" when they made declarative assertions right out of the gate about the opposite of what they knew to be true. What BS. All this does is make it clear that even academics, even in medicine, even during a freaking global pandemic, can't be trusted to tell the truth anymore than politicians or business executives. They will simply say what they have to say to keep their influential positions.

Which a lot of us already knew, but that they'd lie so openly about such an important issue means that they can't ever be trusted to tell the whole truth. This destroys the credibility of science, making everything even more political than it already is.

    Go bold or go home.
    Live. Lie. Love.
    For your career.
    Re-frame, re-frame.
Just like no one else matters.

Don’t listen to what others say about you.
Be they the victims of your patrons career ambitions whispering from beyond the grave….
    Or their bereaved ones,
grief stricken and haunting social media like its still twenty twenty.

    The world keeps on turning.
One must churn, churn, churn, the miserable masses into submission.
