Special screening of Unrest for MPs and honoured guests - oct 24

[Cheshire]

Attendees will be welcomed by the Countess of Mar (right) who will open with a presentation on behalf of Forward ME Group highlighting the financial cost of M.E. to the UK economy.

Dr Charles Shepherd, Hon Medical Adviser to The ME Association, will talk about the need for better education of health professionals, biomedical research, and explain what is required to create effective treatments and cure for M.E.

Jennifer Brea will then introduce her award-winning documentary and take part in the panel discussion afterwards with the Countess of Mar, Dr Charles Shepherd and others

Lots of people will attend the event: Jessica Taylor-Bearman, Dr Luis Nacal and members of the UK ME/CFS Biobank team, Dr William Weir, Dr Ian Gibson, Dr Gabrielle Murphy (hum), and Professor @Jonathan Edwards

It seemed to go very well. We only saw 20 minutes of the film and I hope to see the full length in a week or so at Biobank. Several MPs including Vince Cable were there.

Wow. I've be so absorbed in other things here I missed this. Amongst the MP audience there has to be a good sprinkling who will have been enlightened by this, maybe even have family or friends they could relate to. Just getting this into the HoP is major! Brilliant.
