Twitter is blocking all click-throughs on mobile browsers when not logged in. Have been for a couple of days. You can still use Twitter not logged in from some browsers on a computer (not a mobile device) though.
I've also had this problem with Twitter and Firefox but it goes away if I open the link in a private window -- right click "Open Link In New Private Window".
I just succeeded! I had to open the page it was originally posted on by Adam. Then I right clicked on the picture of the article and chose to open it in a private window. I have a full-sized desktop PC, not a mobile device. But until they shut down the private window option, which I'm sure they will, I can click-through for now, and I've managed to read the contents of Adam's picture.
No, it's a new thing on Twitter that stops those of us not logged in to move around freely. I don't get it all the time (for example until yesterday it had never showed up when I used my mobile), but more and more.
Yes, I know. I don't have an account. But until today this has never mattered when all I wanted to read was public tweets. But now this has been blocked.
That's weird. If I view as not logged in, I can still see it (on PC). Sorry - that's unhelpful. But if you ever need a transcript of anything, let me know and I'll message it to you.
That worked for me and I use Google Chrome. So thanks for the advice as I can again see comments like I used to be able to (no way I am setting up a twitter account myself).
