The problem is with 2 different sets of recoding many illnesses, especially chronic illnesses will potentially have a somatic code added to their illness ie be designated under MUS.
They will then essentially be " parked" with no investigation...

Rates vary depending on researcher- EC has very high rates, but little of her research seems to be on ME. There is a huge conflation with chronic fatigue.

Sorry to hear this. In a world of under provision, it is hard to understand how facilities could close. I feel sorry for those who may have benefitted from any services, this may be hard on patients and families. My thoughts are with them
If the underlying signalling mechanism is not identified then tweaking AMPK activation may cause more harm than good.
Would having low intracellular ATP not imply that its loss has triggered AMPK activation and CDR? Homeostasis at lowered rate will continue until ATP depletion is addressed...
