I believe from an interview with her that Nancy Klimas' has been having to work out how to get this done without cash for it. Sorry there's no hope of me remembering where I saw that.
I remember commenting on this on another thread. Brittle asthma is a term used for a dangerous type of asthma that is poorly understood. Risk of dying is much higher due to rapid onset of severe/lifethreatening attacks and the difficulty of treating it. Usual drugs don't work well or at all...
Personally I can't see anything wrong with the video, but should putting this out there as a tv advert or similar become possible you'd need consent for use of clips from eg. Charles Shepherd/MEAssoc. and other stuff like that that I can't think of.
This has to have a bearing on the Cochrane review. Surely the weaknesses of the PACE trial paper are so laid bare now that there's no place left to hide them however hard some might try. I'm having trouble weighing this up against my ingrained low expectations though. What do others think?
To be fair, healthy people do have to stop tweeting to go and do day jobs, so I wouldn't take offence at it. His newspaper articles are a sideline.
As to 'have you read my article' type comments, I've come to think that quite a few people don't read things properly before commenting on things...
@chrisb @Nasim Marie Jafry No worries, I think I've just reached a point where I'm fumbling through brain fog and confusing myself, maybe others too. Sorry. Going away for a rest.
I agree with you @chrisb and @Trish and if it's not clear I'm not turned against Frances Ryan. I think I might have been misunderstood and that's my fault, I find it hard to focus on a writing. My reaction last night was a response to several days of shit. Her article felt like the final straw...
I spent quite a long time yesterday writing and re writing a commet on Ryan's article but just couldn't stop it from turning into a complete rant. I re-read the article today and I'm still a little angry and disappointed : the story isn't Liddle!!
It's a great shame when someone sympathetic...
I'm assuming that a 'soon' piece may not be one produced by Ryan, but I could very well be wrong. I think anything by Ryan would be sympathetic and hopefully accurate, though she would need to speak to people Kelland avoided, such as yourself, to do the subject justice.
(I'm guessing at this...
Frances Ryan is expressing interest on Twitter (perhaps Rod Liddle has done us a favour), we'll have to see what if anything comes of it. I know that she has been aware to some degree about ME for some time.
Journalism in the UK has declined over recent decades. There are fewer reporter man hours expected to produce more content than ever. It's unusual for newspapers, even the serious ones, to do investigative stories about anything. They just don't provide the budget for it. There also seem to be a...
So according to Mark Porter anyone writing on the subject needs a thick skin to cope with the feedback. Ye Gods!* How are all these people so unaware, so satisfied with pontificating about subjects on which they can't even be bothered to find out more. And it's not about them and their thick...
