Interesting from Twitter.
It seems a mental health conference did not go down well
Some aspects may sound familiar.
I have not dug very deeply, but it seems UK mental health initiatives are not universally appreciated

Hydrocortisone was a huge set back for my daughter. Endocrinologist suggested this due to low base cortisol level ( yet good acth response) . Still to recover fully. ( And she was making progress)
De Vega has a number of papers re glucocorticoids and ME. Good pre reading if you are considering...
There was a twitter thread this morning re NICE panel member
I'm rubbish on twitter and couldn' t find full thread but this may be worth checking out ( for those that understand how it works!). More of a need for Dr Speight
Well done @Emsho and team. You seem to have hit the spot !
Thanks.
Just need the whole GIRFEC/ data sharing / named person issue for kids hit on head now too...
If only Nigel Speight could have the same luck- EC' s studies would have some context provided from someone who acknowledges severe ME in children..
Great news though.
Again the takeaway issue is the conflation of chronic fatigue ( in all its manifestations) with ME. If a clear diagnosis cannot be made, then this is what happens when everyone is lumped together.
Hmm. There is usually significant missing data but little effort to explore the reasons for this.
I suspect researchers understand why this may be, yet little is done to follow it up.
Perhaps worth highlighting too.
As far as I know, Scotland has 3 locations for clinic type " support"
1 clinic in Western Isles (perhaps related to organophosphates?)
Integrated Care Centre, Glasgow (formerly homeopathic hospital - offers meditation etc)
Edinburgh - this is the clinic I think that @Emsho attended for GET...
@Brian Hughes . A critique of FITNET and MAGENTA in due course would be appreciated, as these will inform NICE deliberations and seem to be full of similar issues.
