My first year undergrad project was better than that! But I was at JMU Applied Psychology not Liverpool University Psychology. Remember also that Moss-Morris spent time at Liverpool Uni, in fact I think I may have filled in some of her stuff... But seeing as I failed to send the final...

The Mind-Body Syndrome Study (2019) Maroti et al

CBT is one of the most researched treatments, but it doesn't work well for this condition. So we're going to chuck a load of money away to try and fiddle around the edges of a treatment that doesn't work instead of trying to find something that DOES work. Hmmm.

Long-term outcomes of functional neurological disorder in children, 2019, Stone, Forsyth et al

Can people really die of psychosomatic causes?

He died because he believed it was cursed, and the people around him reinforced that belief. Off topic, but at the bottom of that article were several links to other recent articles, including a rather good one on gaslighting.

My bold It's not your fault! I'm sure that once @PhysiosforME get their teeth into things there will be better help for the severely affected. :) I hate to hear you are shut up in a room close to a busy road - even with windows closed that must be intrusive. Also it must be incredibly...

@Arnie Pye, funny you should mention Hippo... When I was a little girl most of my family had animal names. My Mum was a hippo! Dad was a giraffe as he was tall and thin. I was a little red squirrel (I had a red dressing gown). I think I'd qualify as a hippo now.
