I don't know if Wendy gets that. I imagine her daughters are onto anything like that. I only know Wendy through her blog, so don't really feel able to ask for more details.
Know this is getting a tad off topic, but we do get a council tax reduction of 1 band because we have a downstairs...
Thanks for the link @Sly Saint. Wendy is too young to claim Attendance Allowance. She got PIP initially, but when it came up again she lost it all. Did the Mandatory Reconsideration, but didn't feel up to going on to fight at Tribunal - I did try to encourage her, but understand why she decided...
The thing that worries me is that if she's "Director" she'll be in charge of what research gets done. And I'd bet my bottom dollar that it'll be the usual carp (as we say on moneysavingexpert forums to avoid getting a line of asterisks for bad language). Plus she'll block any biological research...
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it does concern dementia.
I've been following (subscribed to her blog so get email when a new post) a lady called Wendy with early onset dementia. She has a blog, and her book about living with dementia was published a couple of weeks (?)...
@Wonko, so very very sorry to hear that you didn't get justice at your Tribunal. Sending heartening hugs from Liverpool.
I have an NHS wheelchair, but only got it post PIP face to face. Though at the time I was waiting for an appointment. My previous wheelchair was "borrowed" in that the local ME group got the local council to donate most of the cost of it. I was the only person prepared to store it in my house...
Or maybe they should just disband. Let those who are serious about proper biological research join another organisation that is patient friendly. Or set up one that is patient friendly and hopefully refuse any psychiatrists membership.
I am horrified that BACME are going to vote at their conference whether to join CMRC. And even more horrified that it appears CMRC hasn't complained about it. I have no confidence in CMRC after reading about that. I don't understand why nobody in CMRC appears to understand why patients might be...
CP to be leading - from the minutes that's Carmine Pariante? If so we're out of the frying pan into the fire. Or even worse. Initially I was happy that EC was going, but now I'm even more worried than if she'd stayed.
The Squawkbox has taken this up with DWP.
DWP Does Not Deny Asking Leisure Facilities For CCTV Footage Or Fake Friending Disabled People
Read in full, including DWP response, at the link above.
HAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHAAAAAA Crawley do useful work? What planet do you live on? (sorry) She'll continue to do whatever brings in the spondulicks and the possibility of a dame-hood. After all, Sir Simon made it to being knighted, so why not Lady Esther?
Have to say that was my first thought too... Followed by GET. Cos if you can get better with CBT you'll be deconditioned and need to get back to full health as lets face it stuff like appendicitis is merely MUS. [/sarcasm]
Fightback4justice have had problems with people trolling on Facebook and also pretending to be them. So of course you will see "some other people" raising concerns. Without Fightback4justice's help I would not have moved from basic Activities of Daily Living and the Moving Around activities to...
It's from the founder of Fightback4justice and is on their Facebook page. I don't know if you can access it without joining the group. I would say that Michelle knows what's going on with DWP, so this is true.  :arghh:
Can't say I find any placebo effect from B12 injections. Or at least not thus far! Had loading dose last summer, 6 injections alternate days, plus folic acid pills. Since then have had one more injection, 3 months later, and am almost due another. Still on folic acid too.
Nurse practitioners...
Used to love to sing... As a child when bedtime I used to lie in bed and sing all the songs I knew. Back then it was mostly hymns! What we used to sing in school. And when I'd sung every song I knew I'd finish off with God Save the Queen! Suspect parents were relieved when...
Too far for me to travel, but wish I could. Sounds a lovely event.
Perhaps record it and sell CDs or online stuff to raise money for research? I'm sure there's techie folks here who could advise? I'd buy! :)
