    News from Scandinavia

@mango is there a way we could support Stora Sköndal? A petition perhaps with acknowledgement of their great work which Sweden can be proud of - and other countries should learn from. That they should get all the resources necessary in order to provide the care the patients need.

    News from Scandinavia

This is sad news. I remember they had a temporary stop also shortly after they had started accepting ME-patients, because so many patients contacted them. They had to hire more people. Hope more resources and more employees will be the result also this time. Perhaps the closing of the...

Very good article in the Swedish women's magazine Året Rundt. A typical story from ME patient Concetta and a bit about the ME-ward at Stora Sköndal and how they are working. Året Runt: Concetta lider av kroniskt trötthetssyndrom: "Jag fick vänta åtta år på min diagnos" google translation...

    ME-conference in Norway - April 18th-19th - RituxME-results will be presented

Haven't heard much report from the seminar, so don't know if any news regarding RituxME were shared. Apparently there is still some time left until the study is published. ETA - but here is a nice report from the rehabilitation center who took part in organising the seminar (nothing about...

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

Sorry @Samuel The poll's limit is ten options and now we have already started voting.. Not sure how to include your suggestion .. Perhaps I should have waited a few more days to see if others wanted to join in with propositions, but I was at the same time eager to move this a bit forward..

Rethinking the treatment of CFS — a reanalysis and evaluation of findings from a recent major trial of GET and CBT (2018) Wilshire et al.

Front news at the Norwegian site Forskningno (Research.no) who provides news on research and science for a general audience. The article is mainly based on a radio segment from Sweden about the PACE-trial, the re-analysis and an interview with dr. Per Julin from the ME-ward at Stora Sköndal...

70% And an update (also sent as e-mail to donators) Your generosity has helped me close in on my crowdfunding goal, with two weeks left to go. I plan to send everyone an individual thank-you note once the campaign is over. For now, I hope a group thanks will suffice!--David

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

It seems like this is the most popular suggestion. But there were several versions of it, and if we kept all of them for the poll, we'd lose other suggestions. How about we see if Justice4ME wins the poll, and then continue the debate whether other versions of the slogan could work better?

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

Yes, I think ten options is plenty anyway, as long as most agree with how I narrowed it down. I don't think a hashtag like this will ever trend, but IF it catches on among us patients and supporters, and is used over time when we donate, I hope it might reflect how many we actually are...

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

Yes, that is what I tried at first. But turned out polls here have maximum ten answer options, therefore I reduced our list :-)

Turning badmouthing of ME/CFS on social media into something positive - a fundraising possibility

In order to make a poll, we need to narrow down our list to 10 suggestions or fewer. I've tried to make a new list by removing the most similar suggestions and went from this list: #RealScience4pwME #ExploreMEScience #RealSCIENCEforME #donate4MEScience #biosci4ME #ActualScience #MEScience...

Here are the suggestions so far for a hashtag/slogan to use when replying to the biopsychosocio-crowd with a donation to the ME-cause. Thank you for all the ideas and contributions! Systemic exertion intolerance disease diagnostic criteria applied on an adolescent chronic fatigue syndrome cohort - Wyller et al (2018)

Yes. Wyller is known for promoting the view that is doesn't really matter whether you use strict criteria or not. And now he has done a couple of studies he can quote himself from in order to prove it.
