Vote for Unrest as your favorite 2017-18 Independent Lens film

Maybe I'll swoop in and vote if Unrest starts to sink. I don't know what that says about me:laugh:

UK 21 June 2018 | 3-hour ME debate in Westminster Hall, secured by Carol Monaghan

I have the impression that Carol Monaghan is doing a good job trying to assimilate a lot of information in a short space of time about ME alongside her other responsibilities but I wonder if she would be helped by a quiet think with someone knowledgeable to really tease out with some clarity...

Action for ME have "reworked our treatment and symptom management page" and "updated our pages on GET and CBT"

Come come everyone, we all know they've been very busy being in Geneva. I expect the AfME office fridge is full to bursting with swiss chocolate now. I think the CBT/GET bit is a little better than it was, as Esther 12 says. Otherwise I think there's too much prevaricating on some sort of...

    #MEAction - UK Organiser

Full disclosure - I had a conversation with one of my sisters last year where she mentioned that she did a fundraising walk with friends. It was the 3 Peak Challenge, which isn't easy. I forget which charity it was for something like Cancer Research or the British Heart Foundation which are well...

I see my MP has signed! (That's not due to me as I haven't contacted her about this)

Vote for Unrest as your favorite 2017-18 Independent Lens film

There are some interesting sounding films in that list. Like Trish I'm unsure about voting. I've also never watched PBS

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

As Adrian said Perhaps he's currently sitting in a life boat hanging from the side of the ship with a supply of beer/wine/tea/coffee just for himself. (but it's bring your own lifeboat, as MS is finding out)

    The ME Show

Selfishly I would like to hear a podcast every week because they're good but I would far rather you take longer between them to better manage your health as others are also telling you. Fortnightly? Monthly? We can't know what's best for you but we will understand! Please give it some serious...

Michael Sharpe skewered by @JohntheJack on Twitter

"Any outcome is possible and must be respected" Where PACE is concerned any outcome wasn't possible though. Original protocol outcomes weren't possible for a start once they'd made changes. eta -plus other issues

Frailty & pre-frailty in middle-aged & older adults & its assoc. w/multimorbidity & mortality: prospective analysis of 493,737 UK Biobank participants

There's a weightloss thread on this forum; it's not evidence of any kind, but it does question their assumptions

I find the excitement at how interesting we are encouraging. I hope this gets communicated effectively to other researchers.

Lobotomies were once used to treat this gut disease, part of a shameful medical history

Strangely all personality types die of something in the end. Not enough CBT and lobotomies.

ME Association: ‘ME Awareness Week 2018’ New Early Day Motion Launched by Carol Monaghan MP

That's interesting Andy! Worth every penny in my opinion. Now how much are Parliaments bar and restaurant subsidies worth? Perhaps @Sbag 's MP might like to take a packed lunch in every day. (Andy, please don't spend energy looking that up too I'm just in a snarky mood)

ME Association: ‘ME Awareness Week 2018’ New Early Day Motion Launched by Carol Monaghan MP

What does she mean by that I wonder? My previous MP wouldn't sign them because he thought they were meaningless and nothing to do with really achieving anything Mind you, you could argue that democracy generally costs too much money and isn't how most things really get done too.
