Sue Jacksons blog carrys a lot of info presented in an easy to understand way. B12 is a NO scavenger and this may be why it has an effect for some. https://livewithcfs.blogspot.com/2014/04/vitamin-b12-and-mecfs.html?m=1 Certain genetic expressions also control the rate of B12 use / need for...

Our GP has 2 Omrons which are used by patients for a week at home to try and address white coat syndrome. You put your name on a list. It's used where it's thought there may be a problem, and if there is intermittent use is encouraged if people can't/ don't have a monitor of there own. As...

A System Theoretic Investigation of Cortisol Dysregulation in Fibromyalgia Patients with Chronic Fatigue, 2019, Padnekar et al

Low T3 impedes cortisol clearance in liver. A low T3 state ( as opposed to low T3 syndrome) was suggested in a couple of papers- part of body shutting down, like a hibernation " dauer" response. Liver is key to many processes which are out of whack - bile, lipids, hormones, gut dysbiosis...

Article: 'Is standing up for expertise a fool’s errand?' - Simon Wessely still being portrayed as the 'victim'

Assessing cellular energy dysfunction in CFS/ME using a commercially available laboratory test, 2019, Morten, Newton et al

Naturopaths and some other alternative practitioners also do this test, it is not just Myhill. I think people are looking for explanations and approaching it from a cellular energy point of view seemed to make sense when you seem to have none.

Assessing cellular energy dysfunction in CFS/ME using a commercially available laboratory test, 2019, Morten, Newton et al

We gave no details re abilities. A wee questionnaire from memory to Myhill - brief medical history, age, the kind of thing you gsve to fill out everywhere. 4 We advised glandular fever likely trigger, " ill since" since timespan and We provided typical day's food diary. We were below 40-60% (...

Assessing cellular energy dysfunction in CFS/ME using a commercially available laboratory test, 2019, Morten, Newton et al

We has mitochondrial test done. It's part of a number of tests within the ATP profiles " package" some of which were useful ( v low glutathione, low normal B3, one SODase low , one low normal). The interesting aspect for us was how well the energy score related to ability. It was spot on. I...

UK Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) project - draft website goes live, feedback sought on recruitment plan, and updates

If this is, as multiple reports suggest, a relapsing and remitting condition, then " recovered" genetic info may play an important role.

UK Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) project - draft website goes live, feedback sought on recruitment plan, and updates

Data varies as chip versions have changed over time and so gene content has changed May not have particular Gene's as most are selective ( unless you have a full genome) . OMF do not use 23andme which is probably the widest consumer accessible provider. ( photo posted last year showed gene...

    Weekly collapses

Thanks @Marky . It has been a development in the last 5 years, so kind of weird . I think the double tap theory holds good for both, so Gene's will have a role no doubt.
