I'm sorry to ask, but what is the name of this oxaloacetate supplement we can buy?
I can't find it through google.
Note: I just want to read more about it.
Thank you for sharing @Parsnip .
I'm sorry you had to go through this. This (LP) is just crazy. I'm speechless and numb after reading this.
It's a shame that in 2021 we must fight against the worst quackery of all time. It's a scandal. It has always been a scandal. This must end!
I got vertical ridges on my nails exactly at the same time as I got my first symptoms of ME/CFS.
I also got red vertical stripes under a pair of nails.
I still have these two nail changes.
At the same time I got small black dots under the nails, which followed the nails out while the nails...
I agree with you. I'm also excited about this.
But if this turns out to be "just" a way to spread hope and faith, or that the news is not really that big, then I will be very disappointed.
And a bit annoyed that things are taken out of proportions.
We should be careful with shouting out...
Based on own experiences (not on Abilify):
I think some medications often create a kind of uncontrolled craving for food in a transitional phase.
A sort of "abstinence" that makes you eat more. Perhaps unconsciously.
We react differently to meds, so it is very individual if you get it and how...
The connection between mind and body seems to go under the term psychosomatic. Then based on mental conditions with somatic symptoms.
We know that mind and body and body and mind work across each other in a very complex system.
So what about the connection between body and mind then, based on...
I'm obviously not a doctor, but I also have this.
I was told that it is "normal" and that many have this, and that this is often diagnosed through random ECGs.
There are different degrees of severity. Many do not even notice it and live just fine with it throughout life.
But if obvious...
Yes, exactly.
The experiences with LDN are very divided. I do not know what to believe. But that applies to everything regarding ME / CFS. :wtf:
Feel free to give us an update at a later date. Good luck in the meantime :)
I am not sure yet. I have considered it, but I am very sensitive to drugs. Therefor I have been afraid to introduce new drugs. Not sure my GP support it with a prescription either. So as for now I am most curious about how others experience it. :)
That you have achieved some small things that...
Very interesting. I liked the focus on body -> mind for once in psychology.
Until:
"Picard is more skeptical about the potential of developing drug therapies aimed at mitochondria. As an alternative, he suggests that behavioral interventions based on mitochondrial function, such as exercise...
Oh my. So much noise! Not a ME/CFS friendly video with that chainsaw in the background. I didn't get his message, and had to stop watching after a couple minutes.
Edit: It was better to watch on my computer.
Couldn't agree more. It's "always" brain -> gut, "never" gut -> brain.
The gut and nutrition are mysteries that affect the body in every possible way, and can be involved in many physical and mental illnesses.
Psychology in particular has tunnel vision when it comes to the gut. It's worrying.
I have had constant mild tinnitus since I became ill. I do not really notice it much, even though it is there.
A while ago when I was lying in bed trying to sleep, my tinnitus suddenly stopped for a few seconds. I heard nothing. Only the sound of complete silence. Something I have never noticed...
I started a couple of years ago using 40μg Vit D3 once a day, in good faith that this could make a difference.
It didn't. It only increased my calcium levels into medium hypercalcemia.
So I had to stopp. And noticed nothing after that either.
