Along with the Norwegian Haukeland team, IiME Research have invited Professor Karl Johan Tronstad also to the Colloquium. Karl was involved with the 2016 paper from Bergen. "The Tronstad Lab investigates cell metabolism and mitochondrial biology and we are very fortunate that he can spare time to participate in the Colloquium." http://www.investinme.eu/IIMEC13-news-180106.shtml
Karl is now also speaking at the conference: http://www.investinme.eu/IIMEC13-news-180301.shtml

Just over a week away now. Is there anybody else from here who is going along, my wife and I are planning to provided life doesn't throw any new spanners into the works - thought it might be nice to say hi to other S4MErs in the flesh if any are there.

Awesome. I really should have invested in some S4ME branded clothing to make it easier for people to spot me as, unfortunately, I look nothing like my profile pic. :)
Fortunately, I look exactly like my profile pic. ;)

Semi-seriously, you could all have a badge!
I have a blue "END ME/CFS" wristband (from OMF). I could wear this to make it easier to find me. I'll also message @Andy a pic.

Just needs someone to design something and you could all just print it off on paper and pin it to your clothing. :)
In London last year , I printed the logo from the "other" forum (before S4ME existed), and attached it to my conference badge. But didn't locate anyone.

I wound up talking to a group of Norwegian patients (it's pretty easy to spot ME patients... hah!), who had heard of the forum, but weren't members.

Thinking more about a badge...

Not only would it help those S4ME folks to meet up who want to, but people wearing it would be a good advert for the site - and of course there'll be lots of researchers there, which is an audience we want to reach.

So here's the S4ME logo, with the web address added below and room at the top to stick a safety pin through it to attach it to your clothes, if you print it off.

If you want to make it stand out a bit more, you could always leave a bit of a margin of white paper around it when you cut it out. :)
