Does anyone know if a dvd will be available this year of conference....I emailed weeks ago enquiring but heard nothing back

 

@Jo Best, do you know if there's an early-bird DVD link yet? I find the site a bit hard to navigate.

 

Hi @Sasha no link as yet as they usually confirm nearer the time if a DVD will be available.

 

Just over a week away now. Is there anybody else from here who is going along, my wife and I are planning to provided life doesn't throw any new spanners into the works - thought it might be nice to say hi to other S4MErs in the flesh if any are there.

 

Brilliant, I can't guarantee that I'll be featured on the DVD though..

Awesome. I really should have invested in some S4ME branded clothing to make it easier for people to spot me as, unfortunately, I look nothing like my profile pic.

 

Semi-seriously, you could all have a badge!

Just needs someone to design something and you could all just print it off on paper and pin it to your clothing.

 

Plenty of time to develop a secret S4ME handshake too

Wish I was going, but at least there's the DVD and I hope some feedback from those attending

 

Fortunately, I look exactly like my profile pic.

I have a blue "END ME/CFS" wristband (from OMF). I could wear this to make it easier to find me. I'll also message @Andy a pic.

In London last year , I printed the logo from the "other" forum (before S4ME existed), and attached it to my conference badge. But didn't locate anyone.

I wound up talking to a group of Norwegian patients (it's pretty easy to spot ME patients... hah!), who had heard of the forum, but weren't members.

 

I’ve been told many times that that the greatest Norwegian talent is the ability to be found absolutely everywhere, despite being one of the worlds smallest nations (by number of inhabitants).

 

Thinking more about a badge...

Not only would it help those S4ME folks to meet up who want to, but people wearing it would be a good advert for the site - and of course there'll be lots of researchers there, which is an audience we want to reach.

So here's the S4ME logo, with the web address added below and room at the top to stick a safety pin through it to attach it to your clothes, if you print it off.

If you want to make it stand out a bit more, you could always leave a bit of a margin of white paper around it when you cut it out.
