I see a couple of comments in the chat window but, sadly, "je ne parle pas francais" ;)

It works fine for me. The livestream is up, but the event will start in a few minutes.

It will be in both English and French according to the chat participants.

FYI, for folks who are deaf or hard of hearing there are no subtitles and no signed interpreters. Probably best to wait for a transcript.

Sounds like a reasonably-sized audience from the clapping.

Emphasized the 580K number and that it does not discriminate. Good start.

Wish the framing weren't on how we "feel" that we are ignored. We are. Systematically. Measurably.

    Anyway...

Confirmed that the center will be located at CHU Ste-Justine and headed by Alain Moreau.

As expected, CHU Ste-Justine being a children's hospital, there will be a pediatric focus.

Blunt words from Dr Khan: pressing his GP colleagues to "remove the insult from this injury", that they have to accept that "I don't know" is a valid answer, one that should lead to trying hard to solve it. Important words. Thank you, Dr Khan!

Nothing specific mentioned. One of Moreau's specialty is childhood scoliosis so his team is already well-versed on pediatric research and care.
