I've been monitoring and reporting on the development of ICD-11, ICD-11 PHC, ICD-10-CM and DSM-5 via Dx Revision Watch since 2010.
I have created this thread specifically for updates on developments with ICD-11, ICD-10-CM, SNOMED CT and other classification and terminology systems.
This will include any relevant changes to the country modifications of ICD-10, for example, the US's ICD-10-CM, Canada's ICD-10-CA, Australia's ICD-10-AM and Germany's ICD-10-GM.
It will also include monitoring the revision of primary care classification systems, for example, the ICPC-2 (International Classification of Primary Care) which is under revision for ICPC-3 and ICD-11 PHC (the abridged primary care edition of ICD-11's Mental disorders chapter).
For ease of comparison, I think it will be helpful to keep updates on the various systems in one thread rather than create multiple threads for each classification or terminology system.
For ease of identification, I will put a clear heading at the top of each post identifying which system the post is about.
Next week, I will prepare a brief update on the status of ICD-11 - which is currently scheduled for release in June 2018, though it won't be completed by then.
Classification and terminology stuff can be technical and complex but I will endeavour to keep it simple and if a post needs to be lengthy, I will split it over several posts. I will also use screenshots where possible.
