I find the best responses incorporate answers to anticipated further responses while addressing what has been said.
This needs to be repeated ad nauseam. Because it's true. It's amazing that barely anyone makes the obvious leap. This is exactly what we warned about. Opportunity cost does not spare feelings, it applies as firmly as many of the laws of the universe. Long haulers need to be mad about this and they have every right to. None of this was accidental, people chose to fail, were warned about it and doubled down the whole time.Indeed, the dominance of the biopsychosocial model of ME/CFS – with its emphasis on the roles of thoughts and behaviour, rather than pathology – is one of the reasons why long Covid patients are now facing such limited options in clinics.
Nice succinct letter.
