This might be controversial but I believe the range of different presenting symptoms across ME/CFS indicates different underlying pathology even if there is also some common pathology as well.

There are four main types of MS.

Yes to irritability too. Maybe we need a poll for that to see whether it should be included in the criteria for ME. When I'm having a good day, I'm not irritable.

I think we should leave that one out as some doctors refer to us as 'delightful' even when we're crying during the appointment.

I had a neighbour who abruptly became extremely hot-tempered. His wife and kids were terrified of him. One selenium supplement tablet, and he switched back to calm again. So, it doesn't take much to affect a person's irritability level.

Anybody who thinks a tiny amount of a chemical cannot have much effect on your mind and body should try 25 micrograms of pure LSD and a tenth of a microgram of lovely fresh warm polonium 210.

I don't think a doctor has ever described me as delightful, though I clearly am, I was peturbed by doctors who say they are 'impressed' by my symptoms.

Wow I've never gotten that one. Though I suppose I'm impressed by my own symptoms all the time--they really knock me off my feet
