New Video: George Monbiot describes the treatment of #MECFS as "The Greatest Medical Scandal of the 21st century". The video explores the impact of ineffective & harmful treatments & how they were defended by the scientific & media establishment.

The video is a timeline of key events used to illustrate the scandal from the Royal Free and reframing a recognised neurological illness to the withdrawal of harmful and ineffective treatments, includes clips of experts, MPs, patients & news items.

The video is broken down into 27 chapters. See image for list of chapters and how to navigate.

Timestamps in the description are best, followed by the chapter menu, the progress bar is a bit fiddly.

This evidence-heavy video is aimed at journalists and people who may have some knowledge of #MECFS but want to learn more about the #GreatestMedicalScandal. I’ve put the transcript and references on medium.

Really good. I can see it's taken a huge amount of work to put together key points in the history. You have managed to make it both succinct and comprehensive, and very clearly presented.

    Thank you, @Adam pwme.

Thank you Adam. Your selection of key dates and description of significant events together with visual emphasis has produced a clear and comprehensive picture of how ME has been treated over the last 50 years or so. A helpful addition to the documentation.

That's a great video @Adam pwme, thank you for your hard work.

Maybe one on Cochrane's treatment of ME/CFS could be on your 'to do' list?
