@Jonathan Edwards when is the NICE hearing?

The Cochrane review being delayed might have something to do with NICE.

I speak to NICE on September 6th.

The delay in the Cochrane review being sorted out is relevant to NICE but probably not the other way around. I think we are just watching the process of fudging things for a quiet life at Cochrane. Sadly it may be more like a slow death. Who needs a gold standard arbiter made of Play-Doh.

Just watched it @Adam pwme, it's really good. The gentle background music works really well, though I can't explain why.

I may be over thinking this, but I think the music works for me because it is gently melancholy, yet not despairing, which I think fits with the subject matter.

Yeah my first video I did the music was too sad I think, this seems more fitting.

Outstanding video. I found the audio from Mr. Levin, Mrs. Monaghan, John P, and David very compelling. I think more of that sort of thing would be great!

Perhaps one for Gigi would work - very simple, concise and no ambiguity.

You've done it again. Excellent work, both videos, @Adam pwme.

There's a typo in the second video, in case it can still be fixed: " mulitiple surveys". Or you may wish to submit it to the new thread "Words you accidentally invented". ;)

The line about recovery having multiple dimensions has a certain lack of logic to it. The point is that all four criteria have to be matched. If we just correct one of those criteria, the sf-36, and use a more appropriate target, the recovery figure drops dramatically down from 22% (I haven't done the analysis!).

My car's engine needs fuel, sparks, coolant and oil to function. If there are no sparks at the spark plugs, it is irrelevant that there are three more criteria in order for it to run.

So, correcting this one issue has a dramatic effect on the final result, without any need to raise any objection to the other criteria.

That fact demonstrates very clearly that the other criteria are relatively unimportant, or are similarly weakened.

Very impressive video, Andy. Succinct and precise.
