Pacing and energy management with digital tools for conditions with chronic fatigue: What we know so far in ME/CFS and Long COVID
There is no abstract, so instead this is the last section:
Bottom line
Pacing works best when it is personalised, conservative, and supported by timely feedback. Digital tools can measure exertion in the background and nudge people before they cross their own thresholds.
We reported safety and feasibility in people with Long COVID, user perceived value, but no added benefit over usual care for PEM over 6 months.
Rather than a dead end, this is a map for refinement and for targeted testing in ME/CFS, where limited natural recovery creates a clearer signal to detect.
