Expanded telehealth coverage for Medicare is set to expire at the end of this year, December 31st!

#MEAction knows losing expanded telehealth will be a problem for many in our community and the wider disability community. While this action focuses on keeping the expanded Medicare coverage for telemedicine, we know that what Medicare does often affects what private insurance does as well.

Expanded telehealth coverage increases access to care, improves health equity, and is more affordable than in-person care. We are asking you to urgently call your elected official to ask them to continue the expanded telehealth coverage today!

Don’t worry, we provide a very easy call script.

And if calling is not something within your energy envelope, our friends at COVID-19 Longhauler Advocacy Project have a letter you can send, or you can use our call script for a personal email from you.

I also found this automated tool that sends email, from Action Network:

Finally, I found this press release from Senator Schatz (Hawaii)
Schatz, Wicker Lead Group Of 100 Lawmakers In Calling For Extension Of Telehealth Expansion

https://www.schatz.senate.gov/news/...calling-for-extension-of-telehealth-expansion

It has a link to this letter with signatures so you can see whether your own Senator or Congress Rep has signed. That way when you call or email you tailor your message to either thank them for supporting this extension or ask them to please support this extension.
