I can’t get the knots or nails in the roof to disappear completely. They sometimes get washed out or smudged after anything from five seconds to never after five minutes.

Some of the times I’m tried the side vision gets really blurry and it looks like the light playing at the bottom of a wavy pool. That’s in addition to lots of other visual symptoms that I always have.

Blinking instantly resets everything.

Could be. Which is Troxler's? Is that the peripheral fading? I think that is much quicker for me than the target disappearing.
