Yes please.Foot of Guardian article:
"“inappropriate referrals” would be stopped".
Ah good, does that mean no more CBT & GET then?
Patients currently receiving treatment from more than one consultant may no longer be able to access treatment from both or all of the specialists.
That's what I was wondering. Thank God I don't live in London. So far this year I've had to see a specialist about my kidneys, a specialist to see if I have Sjorgren's Syndrome and a blood cancer; her tests were inconclusive so now I'm going in to see a hematologist, and depending on my next diagnostic mammogram, I might still need to see an oncologist for breast cancer. How does someone decide which one is more important??How does that work? Do you put your skin cancer on hold while you're seeing a consultant about your asthma? Or perhaps the asthma specialist is expected to do skin cancer surgery in their spare time.
Don't be silly. People with multiple problems will be sent to a psychiatrist. How does that work? Do you put your skin cancer on hold while you're seeing a consultant about your asthma? Or perhaps the asthma specialist is expected to do skin cancer surgery in their spare time.

And that 'consultant' will probably be an IAPT therapist...

That would be an expert in unexplaining symptoms then.
"Unhelpful"IAPT therapist: "So how do you feel about your skin cancer, asthma, kidney failure...?"
